Hi, I’m Carolyn.

I’m a certified life coach, artist, and fluid art instructor who believes in the magic of play, creativity, and letting go. My classes are about creating beauty — not just on canvas, but within yourself.

Why learn from Carolyn:

Carolyn has years of experience in Fluid Art: teaching, painting and as TA for Jessica Winterstrom at FAE. She has studied the Blooms technique with the likes of Shelee Carruthers and Jessica Winterstrom, as well as other fluid art techniques from renowned artists like Sara Taylor, Kanella Ciraco and many more. Her obsession with Fluid Art began back in 2020. It continues to grow as she learns more and more from the masters in the field.

Fluid art — also called acrylic pouring — is a relaxing painting technique where you use liquid paints to create stunning, one-of-a-kind abstract pieces. Unlike traditional art classes, there’s no pressure to draw or paint "correctly" — it’s all about freedom, flow, and self-expression.
Classes take place in Corvallis, Oregon. You’ll receive the exact address and parking instructions after you book. The location is cozy, welcoming, and easy to get to — with plenty of space to create and connect.
Just yourself and clothes you don’t mind getting a little paint on! All supplies — including paints, canvas, gloves, aprons, and tools — are provided. You’ll leave with a beautiful piece of art you can gift or display proudly at home.
Yes! You don’t need creativity — just curiosity. Fluid art is about letting go of control and trusting the process. Many first-timers are surprised by how beautiful their piece turns out. And I’ll guide you every step of the way.
Each class is limited to 6–12 participants to keep the vibe relaxed and intimate. You’ll receive plenty of one-on-one support throughout — whether you’re nervous, excited, or unsure where to start.

Totally normal — and you’re not alone. This is a judgment-free space where everyone is encouraged to be themselves. You don’t have to share anything personal, and most people quickly realize how freeing and fun it is to just play with color.

Each fluid art class runs for 2 hours, giving you plenty of time to learn, play, and create. We start with a short, guided demo and a mindfulness moment to help you unwind. Then, you'll explore paint mixing, pouring techniques, and color play on your own canvas, with personal guidance every step of the way. You'll leave with a one-of-a-kind artwork and a deeper connection to your own creativity.
Life happens! If you need to cancel, please give at least 48 hours' notice so I can open your spot to someone else. You’ll be offered a credit to use for a future class. If you are unable to reschedule before I relocate I will work with you on either organising a virtual lesson or provide a refund if needed. For last-minute emergencies, reach out directly — I understand things come up, and I’ll do my best to accommodate. Full cancellation policy applies.
One of the biggest lessons in fluid art is learning to let go of perfection — and that’s a huge part of what makes this experience healing. That said, I’m here to guide you toward results you’ll love. Most people are amazed by what they create! And if something doesn’t go as planned, you can scrape it and try again (if time and materials allow).
Paintings need time to dry completely and cure before they’re ready to travel. You'll leave your piece behind at the end of class, and you can come pickup it up the next day — or up to 7 days later. If you're from out of town, I can arrange shipping for an extra fee. Resin-coated pieces require longer cure times (pickup within 2–10 days).
These classes are designed for adults and older teens (ages 14+), as we work with fluid paints and sometimes resin, which require care and supervision. If you're interested in a family-friendly or private class for younger children, please get in touch — I may be able to customize something for your group. After all, my very proud first student was my 4yo daughter
Not at all! These beginner-friendly fluid art classes are designed to meet you where you are — even if you’ve never picked up a brush. We make the process easy, fun, and mess-friendly. You’ll be amazed at what you can create when you let go of perfection and just play.
